Espresso
- 20g coffee dose (10g per serving)
- Grind fresh if possible
- Level and tamp neatly. Avoid spilling grinds off the portafilter
- Extract 40g yield (roughly 60ml or 2oz). Separate into 2 cups if a single serving is desired.
- Target time from pump engagement to finish as depending on coffee:
- Full Speed - 24-28 seconds
- Slow Burn - 25-30 seconds
- Low Impact - 27-32 seconds
- Smooth Sailing - 27-32 seconds
Makes 2 servings
Pour Over (V60)
- 20g coffee dose (10g per serving)
- Shake grinds in filter to level
- Water temp 93°C (200°F)
- Bloom 50g - allow to soak for 30 seconds
- 1st pour - 100g water - pouring in slow circular pattern, focused on centre of dripper. Wait 10 seconds
- 2nd pour - 100g water - washing exterior walls at beginning, and returning to centred circular pour. Wait 10 seconds
- 3rd pour - 50g water - same centred pouring as before. Give the dripper a slight shake and allow to drain.
- Final time, when coffee bed has no water, based on each coffee:
- Full Speed - 2:30-2:45
- Slow Burn - 2:45-3:00
- Low Impact - 3:30-4:00
- Smooth Sailing - 3:30-4:00
Makes 2 Servings
Immersion (Switch or Clever)
- 20g dose (10g per serving)
- Grind coffee and place in immersion brewer with bottom valve closed
- Add coffee grinds
- Use 93°C (200°F) water
- Pour 315ml water on top of grinds, ensuring all grounds are wet
- Let steep for 5 minutes
- Open valve and allow to drain into carafe
- Total brewing time until all liquid has drained = 6-7 minutes (Low Impact & Smooth Sailing may take up to 1 minute longer)
